Lazarus Accounting is a new Open Source Accounting Software Program.

The software will be based on three principles:

 1. All tools and programs will be open source.

2. Similarly, accounting & bookkeeping instructions and education will be in the public domain.
However, college textbooks and copyrighted material may be referenced and used.

3. The project will be flexible and scalable. The programs will be easy to modify for local needs. The project can be scaled for use in the largest of companies and institutions.

To accomplish this, the Lazarus Compiler will be used to develop the client. Firebird and PostGreSQL will be use as the databases.
